Dr. John McFadden

Appointed to serve as the Co-Chair of the Essentials Revision Task Force for the American Association of Collegiate Nursing (AACN). The Task Force was tasked with delineating the expected competencies of graduates of both entry-level and advanced nursing education programs. The project commenced in 2018 and was completed in 2021.

Dr. Jeanne Antolchick

One of 30 individuals nationwide selected as a participant of the Translation and Integration of Genomics is Essential to Doctoral Nursing (TIGER) 2022 program. This prestigious education award, supported by the National Human Genome Research Institute of the National Institutes of Health, is provided through the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN).

Dr. Suzanne Pottratz’s

Article entitled, “Strategies to promote self-determination in collegiate rowing selection,” was published in the 2022 Journal of Sport Behavior.

Dr. Randi Cooperman

Appointed chair of Florida Academy of Physician Assistants (FAPA) Faculty Relations Committee for 2021 -2022. She also chaired the FAPA Symposium Poster Session Subcommittee.

Dr. Nora Hernandez-Pupo

Elected treasurer of the National Association of Hispanic Nurses (NAHN) for 2022 through 2024. She also chairs the NAHN Scholarship and Fundraising Committees, while serving on the National Education Committee since 2019.

Dr. Rebecca Lee

Selected to chair the CRNA Faculty Stabilization Task Force for the American Association of Nurse Anesthesiologists (AANA).

Dr. Steve Alves

Elected to serve on the 2021-2022 Board of Directors of the Florida Association of Nurse Anesthetists (FANA).

Dr. Laura Albuja, Dr. Delia Leal and Dr. Tal Amasay

Presented their study, “The Incidence of Musculoskeletal Injuries and Burnout in Undergraduate Nursing Students,” at the Sigma International 46th Biennial Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana in November 2021.

Dr. Ivan Chan, Dr. Peggy Beckley, Dr. Katherine Greg, and Dr. Belkis Landa-Gonzalez

Presented “Promoting safety, mental health, and participation for aging in place” at the August 2021 Florida Council on Aging Conference.
