Clinical Laboratory Sciences, BS Specialization in Medical Laboratory Science BS to MS Option The seamless Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Science to Master of Science in Laboratory Management is an academic program available to eligible students in the Medical Laboratory Science specialization.

he program consists of 161 semester hours, separated into 130 undergraduate and 31 graduate semester hours. This seamless B.S. to M.S. option merges the NAACLS accredited Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science with the advanced Master in Laboratory Management, allowing completion of the entire program in a period of 5 years. Students completing the program successfully meet the requirements for the Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Science and the Master of Science in Laboratory Management.

Internships

The program includes a Clinical Experience Internship at a hospital or clinical site affiliated with Barry University. The internship provides practical hands-on experience that prepares the student for a career as a Medical Laboratory Scientist. Internships are scheduled in accordance with the schedule of the assigned clinical site. Some clinical sites require early morning and/or late evening hours. Students are responsible to meet the schedule of the clinical site to which they have been assigned.

Barry University is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). Barry University's BS in Clinical Biology/Medical Laboratory Science Specialization Program is licensed and approved as an official training program by the Florida Department of Health.
