About the Program Clinical Biology, MS

This master’s program in clinical biology is designed to prepare laboratory and allied health professionals for career advancement by providing interdisciplinary educational opportunities in research, biotechnology, clinical practice and healthcare law, ethics and leadership.

Students can choose between two different specializations, Laboratory Management or Histotechnology. Both options culminate in a capstone project, where students will conduct a directed research project around a clinical case study.

  • 3.0 cumulative GPA
  • GRE
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • Statement of purpose

Both specializations require the following prerequisites:

  • General Biology w/ Lab
  • Anatomy and Physiology I w/ Lab
  • Anatomy and Physiology II w/ Lab
  • General Chemistry w/ Lab
  • Organic Chemistry w/ Lab
  • Pre-Calculus
  • Statistics

Admissions Overview Are you a Transfer or an International Student?

You can apply to Barry whenever it’s convenient for you. We accept applications on a rolling basis, but it’s always better to apply sooner than later. You’re considered a transfer applicant when you have at least 12 college level credits from a regionally accredited college or university. Remember, you may have to apply separately to specific programs, so please review the academic requirements for your intended major.
If you are an international student, applying as early as possible is in your best interest in order to allow ample time for immigration processing.
