Clinical Laboratory Sciences (BS)

Completion Program If you have an associate’s degree and a license in any clinical allied health profession, you can advance your career as an allied health professional by completing your degree and earning a baccalaureate degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences. There is no internship required!

This degree program is designed to be as flexible and as convenient as possible. Classes are scheduled in the evenings and on the weekends to allow students to continue maintaining personal and professional responsibilities while earning a bachelor’s degree.

The Clinical Laboratory Sciences Completion Program at Barry University may increase your professional options and boost your earning potential.

If you have an associate’s degree and certification as a medical laboratory technician, histotechnician, nuclear medicine technician, ultrasound technician or respiratory technician, you can advance your career as a health care professional by earning a bachelor’s degree in clinical laboratory sciences.

Upon completion of the program you will be eligible to sit for the certifying technologist exam in your chosen field. It is the student’s responsibility to know which courses are required for their respective certifying exam.

Convenient Program for Working Professionals

The program is designed with the working professional in mind. Classes are designed so you can continue to work while enrolled in the program. No internship required.

Admission to the program requires an associate’s degree and licensure in any healthcare field, including technology, nuclear medicine technology, diagnostic sonography technology, or respiratory technology, whether you fulfill this requirement, please contact the program director at: alliedhealth@barry.edu.

Transfer Credits

Transfer credits of up to 64 credits from a regionally accredited community college are accepted.
