Bar Preparation: Barry Law begins preparing students for the bar exam before they ever set foot in a classroom. The "Admission to Oath" program offers voluntary workshops to incoming students before classes begin, as well as access to a Personal Academic Counselor (PAC). Once you become a Barry Law student, your PAC will be there for you during your entire law school career. After you graduate, our Bar Prep team works closely with you to make sure you are fully prepared for the bar exam.

Academic Success: Barry Law offers students a unique advantage to enhance their legal studies through the Academic Success Program. The three main components of the program are the Study Skills Program, the Writing Center, and Individual Counseling. The program is supervised by the Director of Academic Success.

Clinical Placements: Through Barry Law's legal clinics, students have the opportunity to practice law before they graduate. While working for course credit, law students with Certified Legal Intern status are supervised by full-time faculty members who provide direction and feedback. Students practice in five areas: Children and Families, Environmental and Earth Law, Immigration, Collaborative Family Law, and Bankruptcy Clinic

Externships: For course credit, students work in a variety of legal settings representing real clients in real legal situations. Responsibilities include litigating cases, advising clients, interviewing witnesses, and preparing legal documents.
