We do this by educating as many people as possible about the importance of breast and heart health. Not only do we hold events for the students and faculty every semester where we offer screenings, information, and more-- we also go out into our community of Miami and sign up women (who often do not have other means) for free mammograms, heart screenings, and wellness days where they learn tips on how to properly take care of themselves and how to most effectively prevent these diseases. We want to help as many women as possible detect breast cancer and heart disease while it is still treatable and beatable. We want the word to spread so that everyone knows that prevention is the key!
