Monsignor William Barry Memorial Library offers the use of group study rooms which are available to registered Barry University students. Graduating students may continue to use group study rooms up to ninety days following the end of their last registered semester. Group study rooms are for group use only and are not intended for use as individual study rooms. Students must adhere to the following guidelines:
- Group Study Rooms are provided for groups of 2 or more individuals for the purpose of studying and meeting. When checking out study room keys, a minimum of two (2) group members must be present.
- Loan periods for undergraduate students are two (2) hours per session. Loan periods for graduate students are four (4) hours per session.
- Group study rooms must be checked out at the Circulation Desk. Patrons who use a group study room without having checked out a key will be asked to vacate the room.
- Food is not allowed in group study rooms.
- Furniture cannot be moved in or out of the room.
- All windows must remain uncovered.
- At the end of the study session, the group study room key must be returned to the Circulation Desk. Overdue fines will be assessed at the rate of $2.00 per hour.
- If the group study room key is not returned, there will be a $20.00 replacement fine.
- The library is not responsible for the lost or theft of personal property.
- Failure to comply with library rules may result in the immediate relinquishing of the room.
