Update #2

Barry University’s Command Decision Team (CDT) continues to monitor Hurricane Ian.

Barry University’s Physician Assistant and Anesthesiology programs located in Ocala, Orlando, St. Petersburg, and Tampa will pivot to fully remote operations starting Tuesday, September 27 through Friday, September 30. All assessments or interactive assignments will be postponed. All instruction will be remote and recorded for viewing later in the event of power outages. For those students participating in clinical experiences in these areas, please contact your Program Director for further instruction.

Barry University’s Law Campus in Orlando will pivot to fully remote on Tuesday, September 27 and will close on Wednesday, September 28.

All other locations throughout the State of Florida are operating under normal conditions and will continue to monitor the path of Hurricane Ian and its potential impacts. Due to inclement weather the pool on the main campus will be closed until further notice.

It is important all Barry University students and employees continue to monitor the barry.edu/prepare website and our Emergency Hotline at 305-899-4000 for updated information as well local media outlets for the latest on the storm.

The CDT will continue to monitor and provide updates as conditions warrant.
