Meet the Orientation Leaders, or what we like to call the "O-Team". Orientation Leaders are undergraduate student leaders selected and trained to assist in New Student Orientation. They act as guides, small group leaders, mentors, and resources for
new incoming students and parents. They also help guide students and parents through many activities and sessions that take place during orientation. They will provide answers to any questions regarding the transition to Barry University.
First-Year Experience programs introduce students to the rich academic, cultural, co-curricular, and social life of the University through a series of programs and services offered by various departments.
Congratulations! We are so excited to welcome you to the BarryU Community. The first step is to submit your enrollment deposit and register for classes. Next you will need to RSVP for New Student Orientation and begin working on the New Student Checklist.

We recommend that students wear comfortable clothing and shoes to New Student Orientation. This includes shorts, T-shirts, sneakers, or sandals. We also recommend bringing an additional layer such as a sweatshirt or long-sleeved shirt, just in case. Many sessions will take place indoors with air conditioning although some activities may include walking around campus and sitting outside on the grass. South Florida weather is often unpredictable so you might also want to have an umbrella with you in case of rain.
We also recommend students be prepared with a QR code reader on their phone to scan in during check-in as well as the various activities planned throughout the day.
All new students who will be living on campus for the upcoming school year are expected to move in on January 13 to their residence hall. You will receive an email from Housing and Residence Life with more details.
Commuter students are expected to participate in both days of New Student Orientation. Parking is available for all commuter students.
