The 27th Annual Agnes Seminar will be hosted by Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine and the Florida Podiatric Medical Student Association Class of 2019.

Eight (8) Continuing Education Contact Hours will be offered including the Florida Required License Renewal Courses for the 2018 biennium.

At the conclusion of the seminar, Physicians will be able to:

  • Identify the most common medical and surgical errors.
  • Recognize the importance of communication to prevent errors.
  • Explain Root Cause Analysis and how it is used to improve patient care.
  • Recognize the importance of reporting responsibilities and notifications.
  • Identify podiatric liabilities, risk management techniques & strategies
  • Participate and assist counsel during litigation.
  • Understand how to manage ankle fractures with external fixation
  • Appreciate traditional and alternative treatment options for the management of venous leg ulcers
  • Learn how new therapies could make a substantial impact on positive results and Physician satisfaction
  • Understand how to interact with the Intellectually Disabled, Down Syndrome and Dementia Athlete/Patients

Accreditation

Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine is approved by the Council on Podiatric Medical Education as a sponsor of continuing education in podiatric medicine. The 27th Annual Agnes Seminar offers 8 Continuing Education Contact Hours to licensed Podiatrists.

Approximately two weeks following the seminar, you will receive a certificate of attendance via e-mail.

Cancellation Policy

Refunds less a $50 processing fee will be given when written notification is received by February 8th, 2017. No refunds will be given for no-shows. BUSPM reserves the right to cancel the seminar up to two weeks prior to the start date of the seminar. BUSPM will make every effort to inform the participants as soon as possible in the event of cancellation. At no time will BUSPM be responsible for any other cost that may have been incurred by the registrant.
