About the Program Pursue your musical passion with a BM/BA in Music
The Music Program is designed to help build musical skill and artistic performance while preparing students for a wide variety of careers in music. As a Barry student, you can look forward to plenty of performance opportunities, a rich collaborative atmosphere, job opportunities, and personal attention to help you use your talents to excel.
Our dedicated and internationally recognized music faculty members will work individually with students, integrating music theory into their teaching of applied lessons, ensembles, and music core courses.
Students are encouraged to develop skills in critical thinking, writing, and communication in addition to acquiring technological skills that will equip them for future employment in the field. A Music Minor is available, which may include performing ensembles, applied lessons, music theory, and music history courses.
