Mission In Action

Kitty Care - Do you love cats? We feed the cats daily twice a day. Join us!

Barry University has been home to local cat colonies since its founding in 1940. Kitty Care is dedicated to feeding and maintaining the welfare of the cats on campus. This student-led organization feeds the cats twice a day, at dedicated feeding stations across campus and works with a local veterinary hospital to trap, neuter, and return (TNR) the cats to campus. Anyone who is feeding the cats or interested in working with Kitty Care should contact KittyCare@barry.edu for more information.

The Community Food Pantry - Volunteer Weekly - Thompson Hall 228

The Food Pantry is operated and managed by the Office of Campus Ministry, in partnership with Feeding South Florida.  It provides free, fresh, and nutritious food, and essential toiletries to Barry University students and staff who visit during operating hours. For a food pantry to operate efficiently, it needs a group of committed volunteers. Would you be willing to volunteer on occasion in the pantry? Be part of our team and make a difference!

Good Samaritan Meals

We are looking for a few volunteers who want to give back to their community by helping feed the less fortunate and reduce food waste. As we onboard food donors in the Barry area, the time commitment will be light, and days are generally flexible.

We are also looking to identify one to two Barry students to be our Barry Site Leaders to create and maintain local food routes and help with recruitment. Get involved today!
