Teacher Professional Development

Barry faculty and staff serve on the CLP conference planning committee and share best practices related to 21st century learning enhancements. Barry University partners include Adrian Dominican School of Education (ADSOE) and School of Adult Continuing Education (ACE). Resources are leveraged among all schools and the university to expand and enhance teaching excellence in our community. Three teacher professional development conferences have been held since the CLP formed The first conference was held at Barry University in February 2011 with internationally known author Dan Pink . The second conference was held at Miami Country Day School in February 2013 with keynote speaker Miami Dade County Superintendent Alberto Cavalho The third conference was held at Doctors Charter School in February 2014 with Marquista Shipman, a graduate from Emory University and University of the Miami School of Law.
