Master of Science (MS) in Movement Science-Sport, Exercise & Performance Psychology / Master of Business Administration (MBA)

The Master of Science in Movement Science - Sport, Exercise & Performance Psychology / Master of Business Administration (MS/MBA) dual degree program will provide you with the knowledge and professional skills needed to work with individuals and groups involved in sport, exercise, and non-sport performance activities. In the dual degree you will also gain the essential business skills needed to prepare you to launch your own business or advance in an organization. The graduate program at Barry includes:

  • Quality curriculum: A combination of courses from the School of Human Performance and Leisure Sciences and the Andreas School of Business will provide you with the opportunity master a foundation of knowledge and skills related to sport, exercise, and performance psychology as well as develop management, marketing, and financial skills.

  • Real world experience: The goal of the (MS/MBA) dual degree program is to provide you with the richest combination of theory and hands-on experience available anywhere in the world today. The MS SEPP component of the dual degree program provides courses and opportunities consistent with the requirements for certification with the Association for Applied Sport Psychology.

Program Overview: This program is comprised of coursework from the School of Human Performance and Leisure Sciences and the Andreas School of Business. Students can choose between either the applied (60 credits total) or the dual (applied and thesis; 69 credits total) tracks in the Sport, Exercise, and Performance Psychology degree program. The program combines theory and practice and includes decision-making models with an emphasis on practicing and promoting ethics and human values. The curriculum will provide students with advanced sport, exercise, and performance psychology and business knowledge and skills.
