Ruth Forbes

A Barry alumna and Turks and Caicos Islands native, Ruth recently succeeded FortisTCI President & CEO Eddinton Powell to become the first woman to lead the company. The Premier of the Turks and Caicos Islands said, “To Mrs. Forbes, on behalf of my Government and the people of the Turks and Caicos Islands, I say well done and we are proud of you! As a female, I celebrate you as an inspiration for our young girls and women.”

Nikka Reveillac

A 2001 graduate of the Andreas School of Business, Nikkia is currently Head of Research at Twitter. She joined the company in October 2019 and, by June of 2020, had been twice promoted to lead its research team. In addition to her role at Twitter, Nikkia is passionate about mentoring and empowering others both in person and through her website, The Dancer in the Room. Her inspiring work even drew the attention of Michelle Obama, who sent an admiring tweet her way.

Gabriel Lopez Kafati

A bright light in his MBA class, Gabriel earned the Outstanding Business Student Award, an honor that recognized both his exceptional talent and generous nature. Now, as an ACCESS Resource Advisor for Miami Dade College, he is deploying his skills to help differently abled students, focusing on adaptive technologies and creative learning solutions. In his spare time, he is passionate about making an impact on the queer, visually impaired community as a member of Blind LGBT Pride International (BPI).

Angelo Rolle

A native of Nassau, Bahamas, Angelo is living a life he might not have imagined 20 years ago. Now a husband and father of two, the Andreas School of Business alum studied and worked in a variety of finance-related fields before joining HLB Gravier, LLP, as an audit manager. The firm is among the best in South Florida, and Angelo hopes to continue this legacy by mentoring new talent. When he considers applicants to the firm, he looks for enthusiasm and self-awareness, "someone who is eager to learn and know themselves well enough to identify their strengths and weaknesses, and wise enough to know how to manage them both to maximize their potential."

Kristy Singletary

As a Global Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Manager at Verizon Media and an HR Officer for the DC Army National Guard, Kristy knows the value of honoring each individual for their unique experiences and talents. Recently, Authority Magazine interviewed her for a feature in which she stressed a focus on self-adventure as a means of coping with the impact of the global pandemic. “Let’s make authenticity and energy to be the new currency,” she said. A former Bucs basketball star, Kristy remains passionate about health and wellness and works to inspire others as a coach and advocate.

Clara Stroude-Vazquez

After starting her career as the Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach at Barry, Clara joined the famed Miami Heat and has worked her way up to the role of Director of Heat Culture. “Overall, I have been lucky to have a great experience as a woman working in professional sports. I have been blessed with excellent leaders who have given me opportunities to grow and learn and develop throughout my career.”

“Developing and empowering the next generation of women leaders is very important in my role. I am actively looking for ways to support the women in our organization by creating a space for education and sharing stories so they can learn from the experiences of their predecessors.”

Steve Stowe

As a veteran of the Miami HEAT organization and current Vice President/Executive Director of the Miami HEAT Charitable Fund, Steve oversees the fundraising arm of the team, while working alongside the players and coaches to support their local philanthropic endeavors, including the Corporate Education Community Outreach Ticket Program and Pat Riley’s military appreciation initiative, Home Strong. Additionally, he acts as a liaison between the board of directors and the rest of the organization. In 2008, he was honored with Barry’s Distinguished Alumni Award.
