Public service professionals have a wealth of valuable skills and are always pursuing new opportunities to continually excel in these skills they have developed, as well as developing new areas of expertise.
Consider pursuing FO1 and FO2 certifications. All courses meet NFPA Standard 1021 requirements and education requirements as outlined by the State of Florida Bureau of Fire Standards and Training (Professional Qualifications for Fire Officer).
Fire Officer 1 (FO1) – Four in-Classroom Courses (45 contact hours each):

- Company Office Leadership
- Fire Service Course Delivery
- Firefighting Tactics and Strategy I
Fire Officer 2 (FO2) – Four In-Classroom Courses (45 contact hours each):
- Fire Service Course Design
- Firefighting Tactics and Strategy II
- Fire Prevention Practices
- Private Fire Protection Systems I
