Admissions Prerequisites English Education Specialization

  • Path One: 30 credits in literature and/or writing at the 300 level or above, OR
  • Path Two: 12 credits in literature and/or writing at the 300 level or above
    AND a passing score on the FLDOE Subject Area Examination for English*

*National Board Certification in specializations may be substituted for certain requirements.

Admissions Prerequisites Social Sciences Education Specialization

Path One: 30 credits in Social Sciences with a minimum of

  • 15 credits in Sociology (including either an Introductory or Social Problems course)
  • 9 credits at the 300 level or above
  • 3 credits in American History
  • 3 credits in American Government, OR

Path Two: 15 credits in Social Sciences with a minimum of

  • 9 credits in Sociology (including either an Introductory or Social Problems course) and two courses at the 300 level or above
  • 3 credits in American History
  • 3 credits in American Government
  • AND a passing score on the FLDOE Subject Area Examination for Social Sciences*

*National Board Certification in specializations may be substituted for certain requirements.
