MS with Florida Certification
36 credit hours, including an internship completed within your school.
MS without Florida Certification
Current uncertified teachers or those eligible for certification either through another state or an alternative venue looking to obtain a master’s degree.
Curriculum
36 credit hours, including a practicum completed within your school.
Educational Specialist Degree
The Educational Specialist Degree is appropriate for those who currently hold a master's degree in any area and wish to obtain an Educational Leadership degree and the option for Level I Florida state certification as an assistant principal.
The Educational Specialist (EdS) in Educational Leadership is designed in alignment with the Florida Principal Leadership Standards and the competency expectations of the Florida Department of Education. Although the curriculum reflects Florida’s principal leadership standards, the EdS program is not approved by the FLDOE as a Level 1 program.
Graduates from the Educational Specialist (EdS) in Educational Leadership program pursuing Level 1 Educational Leadership Certification must successfully complete all degree requirements, pass the FELE, and submit their official transcripts and the Florida Educational Leadership Exam (FELE) score report directly to the FLDOE for certification determination.
