Instructional Activities in Sport and Recreation (ISR)

Whether you're looking to improve your fitness, build healthy habits, learn a new sport, or maintain a healthy lifestyle, ISR courses offer a fun and supportive environment for personal growth, connection, and wellness to support your success both inside and outside the classroom. 

About ISR Courses 

  • 100-Level Courses: Entry-level courses designed for beginners and students looking to learn new skills. 
  • 200-Level Courses: Advanced courses that build on skills developed in the corresponding 100-level course. 
  • Most courses are 1-2 credits and are graded on a Credit/No Credit basis. 
  • Some activities may require special fees and signed participation/liability forms. 
  • Undergraduate students may register through student planning or with assistance from their academic advisor. 
  • Faculty, staff, and graduate students may participate on a drop-in basis at no cost, except for sport-specific classes.
