Biography

Sr. Jamie Caporizo is a Dominican Sister of Adrian, Michigan. Her professional background is a combination of music education, pastoral music and liturgy, and campus ministry. Most recently, Sr. Jamie served as Senior Director of Mission and Ministry at Alvernia University where she stewarded the Office of Mission and Ministry to provide spiritual and faith-based opportunities.  

Originally from Connecticut, Sr. Jamie attended the University of Notre Dame for her Masters in Sacred Music. After graduating in 2015, she assumed full-time ministry with the Sisters of the Holy Cross as their Asst. Director of music and liturgy, where she worked and prayed until 2020. She is currently pursuing a degree in Christian Spirituality from Fordham University. 

In addition to her pastoral ministry, Sr. Jamie has served on the music faculties of Saint Mary’s College (Notre Dame) and Indiana University-South Bend and spent five years teaching in the Stamford Public School system in Connecticut. She combines her love of music and education when she travels abroad to teach music (Brazil) or presents sing-a-long concerts to her sisters in Adrian, Michigan.
