Biography

Tina Crossgrove is a lecturer in the English Department at Barry University. Tina fell into the “teaching gig” over a decade and a half ago and wasn’t quite sure she could hack it (stage fright is real!). Yet she finds herself enjoying each day in the classroom as much she did that very first semester. In addition to teaching First Year Writing Courses, Tina teaches an introductory creative nonfiction course, where she encourages her students to embrace the idea that fact is often crazier than fiction. Her past work can be found online at Fringe Magazine. While she has not yet published a novel, she hopes her current labor of love—a work of historical fiction set during Ireland's 1916 Easter Uprising that was inspired by a visit to Dublin during the 2016 centennial anniversary of the rebellion—will be her first. If you let her, she’ll talk your ear off about her two greatest passions in life: Travel and her cat.
