Biography

John Musulin has more than 20 years of experience as a full-time, major market editor-producer working for such companies as Disney, ESPN, and FOX on national and global productions. His accolades include the Air Force Achievement Medal and a national Emmy Award as a Contributing Editor to ESPN’s NFL Countdown studio show from the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. As manager of the Media Center, which features Equipment Services, the David Brinkley Television Studio and a state-of-the-art Media Lab. He supports all Barry Student Media, including BTV Productions, The Buccaneer newspaper and WBUJ radio. He also created and directs the Avid Learning Partner (ALP) Program, which provides authorized training leading to professional certification for Avid Media Composer, the industry standard editing program most commonly used on major film & television productions. John also oversees students on media productions of special events, such as the annual Speech & Debate Competition and numerous panel discussions. This student series also produced TEDxBarryU: Designing Our Future, a Barry-Student-produced TED event for broadcast on TED.com and the Ted Talks YouTube Channel. He has also organized the SAG-AFTRA Foundation Voice-Over Training & Casting Seminars and the Avid Film & Broadcast Symposium & Certification Training. These national events give Barry students opportunities to work, train, and network with industry experts from all across the country, including Hollywood and New York.
