Biography
Dr. Renee Levy has been a practicing physician assistant since 2003 and has extensive clinical experience in correctional medicine, primary care, infectious disease, urgent care, and community-based healthcare. She is a National Health Service Corps Scholar, is licensed in Florida, and maintains national certification through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Dr. Levy is an active member of the Florida Academy of Physician Assistants, the American Academy of Physician Associates, and the Physician Assistant Education Association.
Dr. Levy has served in physician assistant education since 2014 and currently holds the rank of Associate Professor of Medical Education. In addition to her current role as Program Director throughout her academic career, she has held several leadership positions, including Academic Director and Interim Program Director. Her experience encompasses curriculum development, program assessment, accreditation, faculty and staff supervision, student advising, and the administration of didactic and clinical education.
She earned a Bachelor of Science in Physician Assistant Studies and a Master of Medical Science from Nova Southeastern University and a Doctor of Medical Science from Shenandoah University. In recognition of her academic and professional achievements, she was inducted into the Pi Alpha National Honor Society for Physician Assistants in 2017.
In addition to her academic and clinical responsibilities, Dr. Levy is deeply committed to community engagement, service, and advancing health equity. She actively volunteers with HOPE worldwide in support of initiatives that strengthen communities and improve access to essential resources.
