Biography

Steve Stowe is an Adjunct Faculty member in Sport Marketing at Barry University, drawing on more than two decades of senior leadership experience with the Miami HEAT. He currently serves as Vice President and Executive Director of the Miami HEAT Charitable Fund, overseeing the organization’s fundraising arm and working directly with players, coaches, and the team’s board of directors on the franchise’s philanthropic initiatives.

Stowe spearheads the HEAT’s signature community events, including the Miami HEAT Family Festival and the Team Charity Gala and Concert, and his team has helped raise more than $23 million for South Florida nonprofits over the course of his career. His leadership on the franchise’s social-justice programming earned him a co-winner honor for the NBA’s 2022 “Values of the Game” Award. A Miami native, Stowe holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida and two master’s degrees — in Sport Management and Business Administration — from Barry University.
