Biography
Rachelle is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and a proud Barry University alumna, having earned both her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (2008) and her Master of Science in Nursing (2025) right here on campus. Her clinical background spans over 16 years in acute care as well as intensive care hospital settings across medical-surgical, cardiology, neurology units, pre/post-operative surgical care, and clinical research experience that grounds her practice in both evidence-based care and a deep understanding of what patients truly go through.
She believes that true health begins from within, that mental wellness is not separate from physical health, but the very foundation of it. Her approach to care is rooted in prevention, patient education, evidence-based practice, and making sure every student knows the resources available to them. She is committed to creating a space where students feel at ease, heard, and empowered to take an active role in their own wellbeing.
Originally from Haiti and fluent in English, Haitian Creole, and French, Rachelle brings a genuine passion for serving diverse communities with cultural sensitivity and warmth. A proud mother of two daughters, she enjoys travelling, journaling, listening to music, and movie nights with her family. Whether you are coming in for a routine visit or navigating something more complex, her goal is simple, to make sure you leave feeling informed, supported, and cared for.
