The Honors Program at Barry is designed to challenge, enrich, and prepare especially motivated students to pursue their fullest potential. By participating in a rigorous curriculum rounded out by an array of edifying and interactive events, students explore crucial issues that we face in our daily lives. Students are given the space for discussion and debate and the opportunity to learn from experts in their fields. The Office of Financial Aid can assist with determining eligibility for the Honors Program.

The Monsignor William Barry Memorial Library is located in the center of the beautiful Miami Shores campus of Barry University. The Library is named in loving memory of Monsignor William Barry, one of the founders of Barry University and an inspirational figure in the Catholic Church within the Archdiocese of Miami. The extensive Library research collections include more than 950,000 physical items, over 40,000 print and on-line journal subscriptions, and several thousand on-line books and streaming video resources.

We take great pride in giving individual attention from the very beginning. Continuing Education (CE) offers a variety of courses and non-credit programs designed to respond to the diverse educational interests and lifelong learning needs of individuals of all ages. We are an NCAA Division II school and a member of the Sunshine State Conference with 12 varsity teams, including men's baseball, basketball, golf, soccer and tennis; and women's basketball, golf, rowing, soccer, softball, tennis and volleyball. So far, we've won 24 NCAA championships, had 338 All-Americans, 413 Scholar All-Americans, and nine NCAA "Women of the Year" finalists, the most of any Division II school. Not bad at all, but we're going for more.

What is your favorite location on campus?

My favorite places on campus are the seating area outside of Bites and Blends as well as the space outside the chapel. Both areas are calm, peaceful,

and surrounded by fresh air, which makes them perfect for relaxing, studying or simply taking a break between classes.

Why did you choose Barry?

I chose Barry because I was drawn to the close-knit community and supportive learning environment. I appreciated the smaller campus and class sizes because it allows students to build meaningful relationships with professors and classmates rather than feeling like just another number. Barry also offers strong academic programs that align with my career goals in the medical field, while encouraging students to grow academically, spiritually and personally.

Why am I a student ambassador?

I became a student ambassador because I genuinely enjoy connecting with people and helping prospective students feel welcomed and informed about campus life. Starting college can feel overwhelming, so I want to be someone who makes that transition easier by sharing my experiences and showing others the opportunities Barry has to offer.

Tips for someone searching for the right college?

Choose a school where you can truly see yourself growing both academically and personally. Look beyond rankings and focus on the environment, class sizes, campus culture, support systems and opportunities available to students. Visiting the campus, talking to current students and imagining your day-to-day life there can help you determine if it feels like the right fit. Most importantly, pick a place where you feel supported, comfortable and motivated to achieve your goals.

Service opportunity that you’ve participated in?

I have not yet participated in a service opportunity at Barry but I am excited to become involved in the future.

What are your future plans?

My future goal is to pursue a career in the medical field. I am passionate about helping others and hope to use my education and experiences at Barry as a foundation for a career where I can make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.
