National College Credit Recommendation Service (NATIONAL CCRS) (Formerly NATIONAL PONSI)
NATIONAL CCRS is the National College Credit Recommendation Service (formerly National PONSI) conducted by the Board of Regents of the University of the State of New York. CCRS reviews formal courses and educational programs sponsored by noncollegiate organizations and makes appropriate college-level credit recommendations for the courses and programs evaluated. More than 250 organizations currently participate in the program including Citibank and Xerox Corporation. Exhibit VII is a partial listing of organizations nation-wide whose training programs are approved by NATIONAL CCRS. Students are advised to check with their human resource department to see if their organization training/courses have been approved for credit by CCRS.

Upper or lower level elective or distribution credit.
Maximum Allowable Credit:
NATIONAL CCRS credit is included in the maximum allowance of ninety (90) credits from all transfer sources.
All National Program on Noncollegiate Sponsored Instruction recommendations for CCRS transfer credit are recognized by Barry with the exception of those courses, which fall in the vocational certificate area. Documentation for NATIONAL CCRS coursework may be submitted anytime during a student's tenure at Barry.
Students must submit an official CCRS transcript to the Office of Admissions. Transcripts can be requested from the participating organization, which sponsored the course or program.
