About the Program Pre-law (BA)

The Pre-Law major is an excellent preparation for law school. The major gives you a solid background in the themes central to the study of law with an analysis of their historical, political and philosophical tools and implications. The major will expose you to a number of academic disciplines important to the study of law, and places emphasis on the Western tradition of law in the context of the United States.

The program’s emphasis on developing your writing and communication skills assures that you will not only understand those relationships but will also be able to convey that understanding to others.

You will be given the opportunity to gain practical experience in a legal setting or related profession.
