Research Initiatives

Research Mission

The CARE Center at Barry University is committed to engage in meaningful research efforts through collaborative and mutually productive partnerships to develop solutions that promote the common good and a more humane and just society.

Research Goal

Barry University students, staff and faculty pursue scholarly, and critical analysis of fundamental questions on the human and community experience. Research initiatives involve a variety of methodologies including interviews, focus groups, surveys, and measures. The CARE Center’s goal for research initiatives is to increase understanding of social, emotional, behavioral, intellectual, and cultural issues that impact children, families, and the South Florida Community while promoting self-sustaining solutions through research and service.

Barry University recognizes that true change, growth, and leadership comes when our internal resources are leveraged for maximum impact. As a result, the University pursues various funding opportunities from federal, state, local government, and private corporations and foundations. More specifically, the CARE Center seeks grants that support the University’s mission to serve under resourced and underrepresented populations.
