Dear Faculty, Students, and Staff,
March is nationally recognized as Social Work Month, a time to honor the profound impact social workers make in strengthening individuals, families, and communities. Within the College of Health Professions and Medical Sciences, we proudly recognize and celebrate the dedication, compassion, and leadership demonstrated by our Social Work faculty, students, staff, and alumni.
For decades, our Social Work programs have exemplified the core values of advocacy, justice, dignity, and service, principles deeply embedded in our mission and identity as a Catholic, Dominican institution. The work of our Social Work community continues to elevate lives and strengthen the communities we serve.
I extend my sincere gratitude to all our faculty, students, and staff of the School of Mental Health and Social Work, who contribute to advancing the field and embody the compassion and commitment that define Social Work.
Please join me in celebrating Social Work Month and recognizing the rich history and bright future of Social Work within our College.
With appreciation,
Dr. Roldan
