The Monsignor William Barry Memorial Library is located in the center of the beautiful Miami Shores campus of Barry University. The Library is named in loving memory of Monsignor William Barry, one of the founders of Barry University and an inspirational figure in the Catholic Church within the Archdiocese of Miami.
The extensive Library research collections include more than 950,000 physical items, over 40,000 print and on-line journal subscriptions, and several thousand on-line books and streaming video resources.

We are an NCAA Division II school and a member of the Sunshine State Conference with 12 varsity teams, including men's baseball, basketball, golf, soccer and tennis; and women's basketball, golf, rowing, soccer, softball, tennis and volleyball. So far, we've won 24 NCAA championships, had 338 All-Americans, 413 Scholar All-Americans, and nine NCAA "Women of the Year" finalists, the most of any Division II school. Not bad at all, but we're going for more.

Elizabeth Ringler-Jayathan Awarded Fellowship & Selected to Present at Premiere Refugee Health Conference
Congratulations to our DSW student,Ms. Elizabeth Ringler-Jayathan who was awarded a scholarship through Social Work's Dr. Phyllis F. Scott Leadership Fellowship Fund and was chosen by the International Refugee and Migration Health committee to present at their national conference in San Diego, California June 27-29, 2026. The International Refugee and Migration Health Conference is the premiere conference for refugee health providers for North America. Ms. Ringler-Jayathan's presentation was entitledBridging the Gap: Culturally Responsive Care and Provider Moral Injury in Serving Afghan Evacuees, and it investigated the complex intersection of delivering culturally responsive care to Afghan evacuees while managing the risk of provider moral injury, the psychological distress resulting from actions, or lack of institutional actions that violate one's deeply held moral code.
We celebrate Ms. Ringler-Jayathan's achievement, a testament to social work's commitment as global leaders in addressing critical social and mental health wellness. Congratulations to Elizabeth Ringler-Jayathan for demonstrating compassion and advocacy in action!
