Possible Tropical Cyclone 1 Update

As of the 5am advisory, a Tropical Storm Warning has been issued for the west coast of the Florida peninsula south of the Middle of Longboat Key and for the east coast of the Florida peninsula south of the Volusia/Brevard County line, including Lake Okeechobee.

A Tropical Storm Warning has also been issued for all of the Florida Keys, including the Dry Tortugas, Florida Bay and for the Northwestern Bahamas.

All University courses for the Main Campus, all Broward locations, Palm Beach, Melbourne and the Bahamas will pivot to remote instruction Friday and Saturday. All offices and activities in these locations will also pivot to offering remote services. All students in clinical rotations in these areas should follow their clinical site instructions for in-person attendance on Friday and Saturday.

Barry University’s Command Decision Team (CDT) continues to monitor the storm and will provide updates as conditions warrant.
