About the College of Health SciencesAbout the College of Health Sciences

At some point in our lives, each of us will access health care services. The quality of the care we receive is a direct reflection of our health care professionals. Barry University’s College of Nursing and Health Sciences has a long history of preparing compassionate health care practitioners who are committed to excellence in practice. Our faculty, supported by an outstanding staff, are dedicated to preparing self-directed graduates who can make a difference in the community as highly competent, caring, culturally-sensitive, health care professionals.

Our College features nationally recognized undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs in a variety of health care specialties. Our motto, “Study, Reflect, Act” affirms our Catholic and Dominican intellectual tradition. We also believe our values and understanding of the world are enriched by ecumenical and interfaith dialog. We offer a university experience that fosters individual and communal transformation where learning leads to knowledge and truth, reflection leads to informed action, and a commitment to social justice leads to collaborative service.

You can expect excellence from our faculty. And we will expect excellence in your health care practice.
