Professor Robert Whorf practiced law and served as Director of the Legal Aid Society in Syracuse, New York, before entering academia. He supervised a criminal defense clinic at Syracuse University College of Law. Prior to joining the Barry School of Law faculty, he taught a variety of Criminal Law subjects as well as Trial Advocacy at Roger Williams University School of Law in Rhode Island. He served as Counsel to the Rhode Island State Commission on Criminal Justice, and was the reporter for a task force revision of Rhode Island traffic laws. Professor Whorf has conducted numerous search-and-seizure training sessions for law enforcement agencies, in addition to making frequent presentations to Bench, Bar, and citizen groups. Professor Whorf is the author of several law review articles on the topic of search and seizure. He is the Coordinator of Barry Law’s Trial Advocacy Program.
