Barry Family Discount
A 15% discount per semester for financially dependent immediate family members enrolled full-time in a graduate degree program and studying simultaneously. The discount is applied to the tuition for both students.
The Barry Legacy Discount
A 10% tuition discount is offered to immediate family members of Barry alumni or the immediate family members of current Barry students.
Barry Lifelong Learning Discount
25% discount per credit if you’re an alum pursuing your second Barry degree; 30% discount if you’re seeking your third Barry degree.

Dr. Neta Kolasa Scholarship
This award recognizes outstanding MSW and/or social work doctoral students who demonstrate dedication, leadership, and professionalism in practicing the values and skills of professional social work. Awards may range up to $5,000 per academic year.
Dr. Beulah Rothman Endowment Scholarship
This award recognizes outstanding social work doctoral students who demonstrate exceptional commitment to leadership in the profession, social work education, and/or social work research. Because this is an endowment the award amount may vary from year to year.
The School of Social Work offers a limited number of assistantships. Research and teaching assistants are generally appointed for 10 to 20 hours per week. Assistants work with faculty members on a variety of projects and assist with teaching responsibilities or research activities. Students wishing to be considered for a Graduate Assistant appointment must complete an application and submit to the School of Social Work Office of Admissions and Enrollment. Assistantships are equivalent to 80% of a 3-credit hour course per semester.
