Program Overview Biology Pre-Professional – BS.BIOP (Pre-Dental)
The Bachelor of Science in Biology Pre-Professional degree program allows you the flexibility to apply to graduate programs in the professional field of your choice.
Biology advisors will guide you to take courses that will prepare you to apply for dental school following graduation.
Applicable Core Areas
The B.S. degree requires a minimum of 40 required credits and at least one course from each of the following core areas: Growth/Development, Cellular/Molecular Biology, Physiological/Biochemical Principles, Environmental Biology, and Biological Theory.
Dental School Pathway
Barry graduates have gone on to study at dental schools such as Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE), University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, and School of Dentistry at University of California, San Francisco.
The curriculum offers electives such as histology, embryology and parasitology; success in these topics will increase your competitiveness during the dental school application process.
