Faculty-Led Program Development
Faculty members play a vital role in Barry University’s global mission by designing and leading high-impact, short-term international experiences. If you are interested in developing a new program, our office is here to support you through every stage of the proposal and planning process.
Launching a New Faculty-Led Program
Developing a successful international program requires early coordination to manage logistics, student recruitment, and safety protocols. We invite faculty and staff from all departments to propose innovative itineraries that align with their curriculum and offer students unique cultural and immersive experiences.
- Consultation and Proposal: To begin the process of launching a program, your first step is to consult with the Study Abroad Office. We will provide the necessary guidelines for proposal submission, budgeting, and academic approval.
- Support Services: Once a program is approved, our office assists with travel arrangements, risk management, and administrative oversight to ensure a successful experience for both you and your students.
- Timeline: Early consultation and planning is essential. Please note that any study abroad opportunity that requires a memorandum (MOU) is subject to specific development and a timeline between 1-2 years.
