Maxine Jeffery, MSN, Ed., RN
Maxine Jeffrey who is originally from Jamaica migrated to the US in 1989. She attended Boyd Anderson High School in Lauderdale Lakes and graduated in 1992. After graduating she decided to attend Broward Community College where she received her Associate degree in Nursing in 1995. After graduating, she went on to Florida Atlantic University (FAU) and in 1999 she received her Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) and Health Administration (BHS). She later returned to FAU to receive her Masters of Science in Nursing Education in 2012. In 2013, she joined Barry as an adjunct instructor. She is currently enrolled at the University of Miami (UM) where she is enrolled in the Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP).
She has worked as a registered nurse for 15 years as a clinical and charge nurse in the critical care areas of Cardiovascular Intensive Care (CVICU), Coronary Care Unit (CCU), Medical and Surgical Intensive Care and Immediate Care.
She was a Christine E. Lynn Scholar and one of the first recipients of the Business and Professional Women (BPW) housing scholarship. She is a member of American Association Critical Care Nurses (AACN).
