Master of Arts in Liberal Studies (MLS)

The interdisciplinary Master of Arts in Liberal Studies (MLS) is designed to develop critical thinking skills and cultural literacy. You will study topics at the graduate level from the perspective of the arts, literature, politics, history, philosophy and more. Being informed by different disciplines enriches your understanding of the ways in which today's world relates to the past. With these fresh eyes, you will see the challenges of contemporary life and be better prepared to formulate solutions as you address foundational questions of human existence.

Our classes are immersed in Barry University's core commitments to promote knowledge and truth, encourage an inclusive and global community, further social justice, and provide opportunities for collaborative service.

Recognizing the needs of today's working adult, we combine the quality education you deserve with the convenient class times you need. Classes are offered during the fall and spring semester, and classes take place during evening hours. You will also enjoy the experience of sharing small classes with other adult learners throughout the entire program and a tuition discount.
