Family CARE Center Provides Shoes to Children

Barry University’s Family CARE Center was donated 15 cases of new shoes for infants and children by the Chapman Partnership. Chapman Partnership empowers homeless men, women and children to build a positive future by providing the resources and assistance critical to growth and independence.

Because of Chapman Partnership’s generosity, shoes were provided to children whom are participants in the Family CARE Center grant initiatives: Parent Child Home Program and College Reach-Out Program.

College Reach-Out Program provides special support to low-income, underrepresented and educationally disadvantaged students in grades 6-12 in order to motivate and prepare them to attend college and complete their post-secondary education.

Parent-Child Home Program works with families who have not had access to educational and economic opportunities, preparing children (15 months-4 years) for academic success and strengthening families through intensive modeling behaviors.
