MAPS and Career Services bring renowned robotic surgeon to campus

In observance of Black History Month 2014, he Minority Association of Pre-Health Students (MAPS) and the Career Development Center co-sponsored a visit by Dr. Lanalee Araba Sam on February 25.

Dr. Sam is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Medical School. A board-certified obstetrician, gynecologist and robotic surgeon, Sam is the originator of the Concierge Obstetrics subspecialty, and founder of myEliteOB, an innovative concierge maternity and childbirth program that combines holistic maternity care with concierge-level services. Sam was the firs-ever to perform robotic surgery in Palm Beach County.  

Dr. Sam joined pre-med students for an inspirational presentation on the pursuit of excellence in leadership, professional development and community involvement.
