The Let’s Move Barry campaign is back. As part of the LMBC’s mission to get you moving, here are some healthy tips to help you incorporate quick and easy physical activity and healthy lifestyle changes into your everyday life.

We know you’re busy, but it is possible to start with small steps that make a big difference. Each week, be on the lookout for our “Let’s Move” Tip of the Week.

Let’s Move Tip of the Week #1

Take the stairs instead of riding the elevator or escalator. You will burn 6x more calories walking up the stairs than riding an elevator. Simple STEPS go a long way. The daily, recommended exercise of 30 minutes per day can be accomplished by climbing steps and the key is to get your heart rate up.
