Research: Art Works

Deadline:

Synopsis:
The program will make awards to support research that investigates the value and/or impact of the arts, either as individual components within the U.S. arts ecology or as they interact with each other and/or with other domains of American life.

Funding:
Award ceiling is $30,000.

PRIVATE GRANT ANNOUNCEMENTS

American Honda Foundation

Title:
2014 Grant Program

Deadline:
November 1, 2013

Synopsis:
This foundation is supporting broad, innovative and forward-thinking projects that meet the needs of youth, especially minority students. The Foundation is awarding grants for projects that emphasize youth education, specifically in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM), the environment, job training, and literacy.

Funding:
Award ceiling is $75,000 over a one year period.

Title:
Our Miami Public Space Challenge

Deadline:
September 19, 2013

Synopsis:
Vibrant public spaces build a stronger sense of community by sparking social engagement between Miamians. The challenge was created to discover the best ideas for improving, creating, and activating local public spaces. Anyone can post ideas: individuals, groups, for-profit companies or nonprofit organizations.

Funding:
A total of $100,000 is to be divided among top ideas.
