Dr. Belkis Landa-Gonzalez inducted into Roster of Fellows of the American Occupational Therapy Association

Belkis Landa-Gonzalez, EdD, OTR/L, FAOTA, Occupational Therapy Program director and professor in the College of Nursing and Health Sciences, has been recognized for induction into the 2016 Roster of Fellows of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA).

The award recognizes occupational therapists who, through their knowledge, expertise, leadership, advocacy or guidance, have made a significant contribution to the profession with a measured impact on consumers and/or members of AOTA. She now belongs to a select group of occupational therapists who have received such national recognition. A complete list of award recipients is available here.

Dr. Landa-Gonzalez has extensive clinical and consultative experience with a variety of populations from children to older adults in acute and rehabilitation hospitals, home-health and private settings. She managed the occupational therapy departments for several local rehabilitation facilities and served as the President of the South Florida Leadership Forum before joining the faculty at Barry in 1996. Her clinical and research interests include gerontology, neuro-rehabilitation, wellness and leadership.
