The Succah is going up

The Succah is going up

The joyous holiday of Succot is celebrated by dwelling in the Succah and the taking of the Four Kinds of vegetation, the Lulav and Etrog. By exposing ourselves to the elements in a greenery-covered hut called a succah, the holiday commemorates G-d sheltering our ancestors as they traveled from Egypt to the Land of Israel. The Four Kinds expresses unity and belief in G-d’s omnipresence. Occurring after the solemn High Holidays of Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur, it is a time of joy and happiness.

The succah will be up Sunday, September 23rd - October 2nd. It will be located on the Campus Ministry lawn. Bring your meals and eat in the Succah.

Join us for pizza and an opportunity to learn about the holiday of Succot.

September 27, 12:00 – 1:00 PM.
