Thursday, August 26th is Women’s Equality Day, established to celebrate the passing of the 19th amendment which granted women the right to vote. As we celebrate Women’s equality and the doors that were opened by the 19th amendment, we recognize the barriers that still remained for many women of color and other groups in regards to voting.
