MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- Barry University's basketball teams host Rollins College Wednesday in games to determine critical positioning for next week's Sunshine State Conference tournament.

Former NBA star Kenny Anderson will host halftime festivities and participate in Barry Internet broadcasts. Fans can catch the games by visiting the schedule page video and audio links for both men's and women's teams.

Barry's women's team hosts No. 9 Rollins at 5:30 p.m. in Health & Sports Center. The Buccaneers (16-8, 10-4 Sunshine State Conference) trail the Tars (20-4, 11-3) by a game for the top spot in the regular season league title chase. No. 24 Florida Southern (20-5, 11-4) is also in the running for the top spot.

Barry's men's team will host the Tars at 7:30 p.m. The Bucs (12-14, 6-8) are tied with Lynn (13-13, 6-8) for sixth place in the league standings. Rollins (15-9, 8-6) is tied with Saint Leo (14-10, 8-6) for third place. Two wins to close out the regular season this week could mean the Buccaneers avoid a meeting with the top two teams in the SSC Tournament first round.

The top four teams host first round SSC Tournament games on Feb. 29. Barry's women will host a first round game. The Buccaneers men's team will be on the road.

Barry closes the regular season at home Saturday at 2 p.m. on Senior Day against Saint Leo.

Senior forward Yvonne Houston leads the Bucs women's team in scoring at 10.1 points per game. She is coming off a 16-point, eight-rebound performance in which she hit the gamewinner on an alley-oop with two seconds left at Eckerd College Saturday. Senior guards Danielle DeBerry (9.9 ppg, 5.2 reb) and Shanna Suttington (8.8 ppg, 3.5 assists) are closing out their careers. Center Alexandria Zamora (8.1 ppg, 8.0 reb) and guard Jen Mitchell (5.5 ppg) and forward Glaucia Lehn (1.5 reb) are also finishing up their time in Barry black and red.

Rollins guard Ashley Jones is tied for 10th in the SSC in scoring at 11.6 per game.

Senior guard Evan White leads Barry in scoring at 12.9 points per game. Junior guard Chad Renfro is scoring 12.3 per game. White is tied for 10th in the league in scoring. Renfro is 16th.

Rollins' Jeremy Sharpe is 13th at 12.7 ppg. Myk Brown is averaging 12.1, which ranks 17th in the conference.
