Men's Golf Earns All-Academic Honors From The GCAA
NORMAN, Okla.—The Barry University men’s golf team has earned All-Academic honors from the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) by finishing the school year with a 3.0 GPA or better. The Buccaneers joined 10 other Division II schools who earned the special recognition from the GCAA.

Sunshine State Conference rival Lynn University took home the GCAA Division II Academic National Champion award for boasting the highest GPA in Division II in 2010-2011.

The Bucs have already garnered individual academic honors this year as Daniel Stapff and Chris Carlin took home Cleveland/Srixon Scholar All-American honors. In addition, Stapff was named the SSC Scholar Athlete of the Year.

To be eligible for GCAA All-Academic Team honors a college or university must submit the grade points earned and hours attempted for each player on its official squad list for the academic year.
